How do I export my Data Studio results?
When a pipeline runs it produces an output shaped by your project's output configuration. Set the format and field mapping, execute, then download the generated result. Here is the full flow.
A Bearer JWT, organization membership and the data-studio add-on. Editing the output configuration needs DATA_STUDIO_CREATE.
1. Shape the output
Output is part of the project's workspace configuration, set via PUT .../projects/:projectId. The output object controls the format (csv, json or geojson), includeCoordinates (whether geographic coordinates are included), and fields — a field mapping choosing which source fields to include and how to rename them in the output.
"output": {
"format": "geojson",
"includeCoordinates": true,
"fields": {
"mappings": [
{ "sourceField": "name", "outputField": "venue_name", "include": true },
{ "sourceField": "stars", "outputField": "rating", "include": true }
]
}
}
2. Retrieve the generated result
Once a pipeline runs, execute returns a generated-result identifier. Download that result — shaped by the output configuration above — from GET .../data-studio/generated/:generatedId/download. Use -L to follow redirects and -o to save the file.
curl -L \
-H "Authorization: Bearer eyJhbGci..." \
"https://api.topolab.nl/v1/organization/{organizationId}/data-studio/generated/{generatedId}/download" \
-o studio-output.geojson
Retrieval may consume creditsDownloading a generated result is gated behind a Data Studio permission and may consume credits depending on the result size. Note the Data Studio output formats are csv, json and geojson — KML and SHP are dataset export formats, not Studio outputs.
